Snap, Snap....That's a Wrap!

We took Addison to get her 3 year pictures taken on Saturday and decided we might as well get a few of her baby sister too.  Lillian was all in....She was smiling the whole time.  Addison, on the other hand, was not into it.  It took me a good 15 minutes to even get her in front of the camera.  We finally bribed her with ice cream and she smiled.

Addison Turns 3!

October 22, 2007 Addison Grace Daniel entered the world at 2:30p.  She has been one of the loves of my life ever since.  I can't believe she is already 3 years old.

We spent the day doing everything and anything Addison wanted.  It started with a few episodes of Sponge Bob and snuggles with Mommy.  Then it was on to breakfast and coloring and then a picnic in the backyard while Lillian was napping.  She received so many gifts from friends and family that I decided to let her open them through out the day. The first was a pair of shoes from her Aunt KiKi.  She opened them and said, "Momma, these are my tap shoes."  She then stood up and started trying to tap dance around the kitchen.  She told me, "I know this looks like the Chicken Dance but, it's really just my tap dance."  Later that evening Uncle Josh, Aunt Amy & Karen joined us for a little take-out and the Ranger's baseball game.  We opened gifts, sang the song and enjoyed some chocolate cake.  All-in-all a pretty dang good day for everyone.

That's a wrap!

Addison's 1st Day of School and More....

Addison has started her Mother's Day Out school and loves it...

We signed her up for the school earlier this summer and she has asked when she was going to start ever since.  I told her last night that she had to get to bed early because she had school tomorrow.  She just started clapping and was so excited that she didn't get to sleep till after 10:30p.  No worries though, she woke up at 7a telling her Daddy that she was "goin' to school TODAY!"

She was a little nervous when I dropped her off.  She did not cry though and soon she was like, "byeeee, MOM!"  I do have to admit, I was a little sad, my little Baby Love is growing up!  No tears though!!

PART II-
When I got to the school to pick her up she was sound a sleep!  I woke her up and in hopes of getting a cute "1st Day of School" picture this is what I got.....

I like to call this one, "What Addison Learned Her 1st Day of School".....

Now, let me explain...She was sucking her thumb and right before I snapped the shot, I pulled it out of her mouth.  It's still so funny, Addison style, yet so tacky!

Aging Gracefully with Paint.

Addison was upstairs with me as I was getting ready for my "date" with Daddy.  As I took the towel off of my wet hair she gave me a weird look.  I asked Addison what was wrong.  She replied, "nothing Mama" and started looking threw the cabinets in the bathroom.  I then asked her what she was looking for and she said she was looking for some paint.  I told her that her paint was downstairs with her other craft supplies.  She then told me, "not that paint Mama, the paint for your hair.  It isn't brown anymore and so we need to put some more brown paint on it!"  Guess it's time to get my roots done.

Addison didn't want us to go and Lillian didn't want us to come home...I'm Guessing!

On our honeymoon Mike and I decided that for our 5 year anniversary and my 30th birthday we would take a trip.  Earlier this year we decided on San Diego.  We had been excited about this trip for MONTHS!  Planning what beaches, restaurants, hotel, etc. that we wanted to go to.  Then it happened, the one thing every parent dreads.......Addison got SICK!

The Monday before our planned departure Addison started walking kinda funny. You know, that all too familiar pee-pee dance.  I took her to the potty and she was still walking funny.  A few hours later she started complaining that her leg was hurting and shortly after that she couldn't even walk.  That's when I noticed a spot on the back of Addison's leg.  It kind of looked like a bite or zit.  Panicked I called the after hours doctor and he reassured me that everything should be fine till the next day.  Tuesday rolled around and Addison was still barely walking and was in some pretty severe pain.  I called the doc and got an appointment right away.  I took her in and all but confirmed my dreaded thoughts.......it was an staph infection!  This would be # 3 for her.

The doc drained, doctored, and bandaged the spot and gave us some meds.  Then, the other dreaded news came.....The doctor said if the infection got any worse he wanted to put her in the hospital and give her iv antibiotics.  My poor Baby Love was sick!  Of course, I dropped everything (but Lillian), and rocked Addison for the rest of the day.  Later that night as I was bathing her I noticed two other spots.  The bad news just kept rolling in.  I was scared to even go to sleep.  What if her temp spiked and I was asleep???  Little on packing for the trip.  I just knew if I packed I would be jinxing my sweet baby.  Fortunately, Wednesday she woke up with no fever and her infection was not any worse.  The trip was ON!!!

Everything went pretty smooth from there.  We got the kids dropped off at the Grandparents on Wednesday and we caught the plane to San Diego early Thursday morning.  I was SO THANKFUL for both Addison doing ok and for us being able to go on our trip.  Addison and Lillian had a great time at Na Na Camp 2010 and Mike and I had a even better time on our much needed get-away.

Mike and I  flew back into Lubbock Monday afternoon to pick up the girls and the next day we drove back to Dallas.  The drive was pretty uneventful, the kind of drive we like with the girls.  We got home, got everything unloaded and crashed on the couch.  The girls played awhile and then Mike grabbed Lillian to feed her her bottle.  That's when we noticed a HUGE rash all over her head, face, back and tummy.  I rushed her to the bath and doctored her up.  She and Addison have suffered from eczema all their lives so I am used to the break outs but, I do have to say, Na Na had her eczema looking better than I had seen it in months.  It just had never been this bad for Lillian.  After her bath she seemed to be doing a little better and by this morning it is almost gone.  I'm not sure if it was a little eczema flare or maybe a heat rash.  Either way, both girls are doing much better now.  I do have to admit that it did cross my mind last night that Addison didn't want Mike and I to go on our trip and Lillian sure wasn't ready to leave Na Na's.

Addison Has Hair and Daddy Doesn't....

When Mike came home from work tonight Addison ran up to give him a hug.  As Mike picked Addison up he blew her hair out of her face.  She then reached around him to the back of his head and blew.  She said, "Daddy I will blow your hair back too!"  Gotta love her!

I Just Wanted A Shower....

I finally get Lillian down for her daily afternoon nap and decide a shower would be nice.  I lay her down in the pack-n-play and hop in the shower.  Shortly after I hear giggles.  I get out to find this......
